Services, location and opening times
We specialise in selling a range of carefully selected industry standard packaging at budget prices. We sell to individuals as well as businesses and we sell our products in handy pack sizes, so you can order from as little as a single pack of containers, up to multiple box quantities.
As well as plastic and glass bottles, we also sell jars, tubs, jerrycans, buckets, catering packaging and bulk containers. You will find our full product range on our website.
We are based in Hyde, North West England approximately 8 miles east of Manchester. This is our only base and we do NOT have any distribution centres elsewhere.
Our phone lines and emails are staffed from 9am-5pm Mondays to Thursdays and from 9am-4pm on Fridays. To get in touch, please visit our ‘Contact Us’ page.

Placing, paying for and changing an order
Placing an order
To place an order, add the product/s you require to the ‘Shopping Cart’ then click on the cart icon, where your delivery charge will be calculated automatically and you will be able to enter your delivery and contact details before making payment and completing your order. Alternatively, you can place your order over the phone. Please make a note of the product title/s and quantities you require before phoning, to speed up the process.
Paying for an order
If you place an order online, you will be taken to WorldPay to make payment. If you would like to place an order via phone, please have your card details ready so a member of our staff can process your payment. Upon request, we will accept payment via BACS, cheque or proforma. However, goods will not be dispatched until payment has cleared. Sorry, but we do NOT accept American Express cards.
If your order is being delivered to a UK address you will have to pay VAT. The only time you do not have to pay VAT is if you are from an EU country and you have a valid EU VAT number. You can input this number at checkout to deduct the VAT from your order. VAT can only be deducted if your order is being sent to an EU country outside the UK, with a valid EU VAT number.
Changing an order
Once an order has been placed, the products and/or quantities ordered cannot be changed on our system. To change your order, you will need to cancel your current order and place a new one. You need to do this as soon as possible, before your order is dispatched. If you would like to change the name, address or contact details on an order, please contact us by phone as soon as possible. Once an order has been dispatched, we are unable to change the delivery details.
Delivery charges, times and locations
Delivery charges are calculated automatically via the website, according the weight and volume of your order and, where relevant, your delivery postcode. Prices vary depending on what you order and how many you order. For example, large quantities of heavy glass items will cost more to be delivered than a small number of lightweight plastic items. Pallet delivery costs can vary depending on whereabouts in the UK they are being delivered to.
Our delivery times are currently 3-5 working days (subject to stock availability). Once your order has been dispatched, it will be sent via courier. Please note that we are unable to offer next day delivery. Our couriers do not deliver on Saturdays, unless an extra charge is paid. Under special circumstances, we may be able to arrange a Saturday delivery for you. Please get in touch via phone to arrange this. Our couriers do NOT deliver on Sundays.
We predominantly deliver to the UK and we can also deliver to Europe. However, if you are situated in Europe (outside the UK) and wish to order a large/heavy lot of goods, we would advise that you arrange for a courier to collect from us.
We can only deliver to BFPO addresses if your order is small enough to be sent via Royal Mail. Please phone us if you are not sure about the size of your order.
Product information and compatibility
HDPE and PET bottles and jars and their chemical compatibility
To find out whether our HDPE and PET bottles and jars will be suitable for your product/s, please visit: http://www.calpaclab.com/chemical-compatibility-charts/
Glass bottles and jars and their chemical compatibility
Glass is highly resistant to water, neutral and acid solutions, concentrated acids and acid mixtures, chlorine, bromine, iodine and organic substances. Its chemical resistance is superior to that of most metals and other materials, even during prolonged periods of exposure and at temperatures above 100°C. Only hydrofluoric acid, concentrated phosphoric acid and strong alkali cause appreciable surface removal of the glass (glass corrosion) at elevated temperatures (>100°C).
Plastic juice bottles and sparkling / fizzy liquids
Our plastic juice bottles are NOT suitable for sparkling or fizzy liquids.
Filling containers with hot substances
You can hot fill any of our glass packaging. Our PET and HDPE packaging has a maximum fill temperature of 60°c.
Food safe containers
All items sold on this website are made from food contact approved materials. Certificates of conformity are available on request.
Freezing plastic containers
We always recommend that customers carry out their own product testing before ordering in large quantities. Freezing plastic containers can depend on the product in the container. For example, if you put liquid in a closed bottle without leaving room in it for expansion, your container could crack or burst.
Storing petrol / oil in jerrycans and stackable containers
You can put petrol in our jerrycans and stackable containers, however, be careful with how you store them. Incorrect storage could be a problem due to certain regulations. Please check with Trading Standards for rules on the storage of petrol.
